NARS Holiday: Naughty & NARS
Client: NARS Cosmetics, a French cosmetics and skin care company founded in 1994.
THE ASK
Develop a highly engaging suite of short-form vertical video assets for TikTok in support of NARS Holiday 2021 Collection.
Our goal is to drive awareness and consideration for NARS and key holiday collection product during a crowded commercial time frame (December 2021). We should entertain and educate owned social audiences on NARS key points of difference, including intense color payoff, sensorial textures and inspiring, elevated makeup artistry.
THE INSIGHT
After not being able to fully celebrate in 2020, our audience is eager to not hold back on experiencing all things holiday-related this year: from looks for parties to gifting (for themselves and others), to traditions to actions.
NARS is uniquely positioned as its products and brand identity is all about being bold. We'll leverage the bold colors and saturation and create equally bold makeup looks to empower our audience this holiday season.
THE IDEA
Based on the insight, we knew we'd need to create a strong, emotive bond with the shopper. So what we did is get the shopper in that BOLD mindset -by showing bold creators, bold looks, and [original] bold sound. We leverage vibrant copy and visuals to create a visual language to capture and engage.
Introducing, NAUGHTY & NARS. Everyone has a nice side—the side they bring home to family. And everyone has a naughty side—who they are under the mistletoe. NARS is the gift that unwraps both, letting you express every aspect of your unfiltered, unapologetic self.
The suite of TikTok videos feature various creators to showcase the boldness of the NARS holiday collection. We lean into native platform features and content types to provide organic, engaging content.
